Prices are going up everywhere-corporate greed for companies like Loblaws and the Weston family who made record profits during the pandemic and somehow managed to get millions in subsidies from the Trudeau government. (This is the family who is tying up the drug market in Canada and owns overseas interests in companies like Selfridges and the Biejenkorf.) When prices rises it’s always because someone somewhere along the supply/service chain knows they can raise their price and their customer will pay it. Then all gets knocked on down the chain. We have a failing crisis ridden capitalist economy currently guided (in this country) by a greedy, corrupt warmongering ruling class who will continue to be corrupt and greedy, armed to the teeth and belligerent as long as we let them get away with it. I do double shift everyday to be able to pay all my bills and rent. And to take care of my family.
