This was easily foreseeable long ago but basically ignored. Long after this virus is reined in we will all be coping with the fallout from our collective panic for years to come. Don't think it's close to over, the economic and housing crisis is a bubble ripe to burst once governments remove foreclosure and eviction moratoriums. Very sad, but we've boxed ourselves into a corner and it's tough to see any way out besides moving forward and dealing with it the best we can. I've been sober over a year now. I'm very sensitive to alcohol now and I've noticed a huge surge in adverts for alcohol. It's stood by the doors in the shops, more adverts on TV, more ways of obtaining it, including delivery services and takeaways. It's even used to block off aisles now. I'm not surprised there will be a rise in the alcohol related death rate, as more people will be turning to alcohol to deal with their feelings.
