I mean, first they tell us that we have to get three shots of a vaccine, wear two masks, stay away from people and douse ourselves in hand sanitizer everyday and there are no hospital beds in the icu and now all these creepy variants are out there that can be worse than the original, but now suddenly it’s all good for the kids to go back to school? And people wonder why parents are confused and conflicted? We are stuck between a rock and a hard place. There is no wrong answer here. I empathize with parents AND teachers. I have said all along that this pandemic has revealed SO many flaws in so many of our infrastructures. Whether we decide to fix those flaws will be another story. As a parent who has lost a child i wouldnt wish this on anyone my daughter is not going back till i have had both my vaccinations.
